General

Set your shop name, category, currency, timezone, and tags, switch shop type, control checkout, and deactivate your store, from the General settings tab.

The General tab is where you manage your store's core identity and a few store-wide controls. Open Settings from the dashboard sidebar and select the General tab.

General settings

These fields define how your store is identified and how prices and times are handled across the dashboard and storefront:

Shop Name. The name shown to customers and used to identify your store. This field is required.
Select shop category. The category that best describes what your store sells. Pick the closest match from the dropdown.
Choose shop currency. The currency all prices, taxes, and payouts are shown and calculated in. Currently USD is the only supported currency, so all products are sold in USD.
Timezone. Your store's local timezone, used for order timestamps, reports, and scheduling. Stores are currently US based, so choose a US timezone such as (GMT-05:00) Eastern Time or (GMT-08:00) Pacific Time.
Tags. Optional keywords that help organize and describe your store. Type a tag and press Enter to add it; click the × on a tag to remove it.

Click Save to apply your changes.

Your currency and timezone here are the foundation for the other tabs, they affect how prices, taxes, shipping, and order times are calculated across the store. Orderain currently operates on a US basis — all stores use USD and a US timezone.

Shop Type

Shows your Current Shop Type, Basic or Advanced. Click Change Shop Type to open the Choose Your Shop Type dialog, select a mode, and click Update (or Cancel to keep your current type).

Basic. Essential ecommerce features suitable for small businesses starting their online journey with a basic product catalog and secure payments.
Advanced. A comprehensive ecommerce solution with a customer portal, reviews, advanced themes, and professional tools for growing businesses.

Checkout Settings

Disable Checkout lets you temporarily close ordering. When enabled, customers can still browse your store but cannot place orders, which is useful during maintenance or while you update inventory. Turn it off to reopen checkout.

Danger zone

Deactivate shop takes your store offline immediately. Your data stays safe, reactivate before your billing period ends to resume without resubscribing.

Deactivating your shop makes it unavailable to customers right away. Only deactivate if you intend to take the store offline.

Staff Management

Add team members to your store, control what they can access, and manage their details from the Staff Management page.

Subscription

View your store's plan and next billing date, change or cancel your plan, compare all plans, and download invoices and receipts, from the Subscription settings tab.
